LONG LIVE THE DEAD WEB?
In November 24, 2019 Tim Berners-Lee published in the New York Times an opinion article entitled: I Invented the World Wide Web. Here’s How We Can Fix It. In this article the author initiates „A global plan of action to make our online world safe and empowering for everyone” The “Contract” proposes nine principles, three for governments, three for companies and three for the citizens, the people. The first sentence on this website reads: “The Web was designed to bring people together and make knowledge freely available.”
Do we agree with this? Do we live in such interesting times, when it is necessary to argue for the obvious truths? What can be the role of the artists in such situation? Where is the museum of sustainable truth?
